Annatto Powder
Description: Also known as Achiote, Annatto powder comes from the Achiote tree native to southern Mexico and was iriginally used as a pigment for war paint by indigenous Mayan Indians. Nowadays it is used mainly for it's delightful flavour and vibrant colour in Mexican and Caribbean cuisine.
Origin: Our Annatto powder is carefully produced in Mexico.
Flavour: Sweet, peppery, nutmeg
Use: Used to colour and flavour rice, also good in chicken or pork dishes
